Even if evolutionists are unsuccessful in finding scientific evidence to shore up their theories, they are very successful at one thing: propaganda. The most important elements of this propaganda are the false drawings and designs known as "reconstructions." The sketches of evolutionists depict imaginary creatures even in their social setting. Based on no evidence, these illustrations are nothing but propaganda tools. |
Reconstruction can be explained as drawing a picture or constructing a model of a living thing based on a single bone that has been unearthed.
The "ape-men" we see in newspapers, magazines, or films are all reconstructions.
The important thing here is how scientific these drawings are. Since fossils are usually disordered and incomplete, any conjecture based on them is likely to be totally imaginative. As a matter of fact, the reconstructions made by evolutionists based on the fossil remains are prepared precisely to suit the purposes of the evolutionary thesis.
At this point, we have to highlight a particular point: studies based on bone remains cannot reveal the "soft tissues" of a creature. The hair, skin, nose, ears, lips, or other facial features of a living thing cannot be determined from its bone remains. It is very easy for someone committed to evolution to devise an imaginary creature by shaping these soft tissues as he wishes. Earnest A. Hooton from Harvard University, explains the situation like this:

To attempt to restore the soft parts is an even more hazardous undertaking. The lips, the eyes, the ears, and the nasal tip leave no clues on the underlying bony parts. You can with equal facility model on a Neanderthaloid skull the features of a chimpanzee or the lineaments of a philosopher. These alleged restorations of ancient types of man have very little if any scientific value and are likely only to mislead the public… So put not your trust in reconstructions.62

Evolutionists animate the creatures that exist only in their imagination by using the method of "reconstruction" and present them to people as if they are "their ancestors". When they are unable to find the "half-man half-ape" creatures in the fossil record, they prefer to deceive the public with false drawings.
